Question: Why do people camp on cod:mw2?

I know they get lots of kills but what fun could it really be just looking down the scope of a sniper rifle for a full match?I truly hate campers with all my heart, they spoil kill streaks. Hell you could even go a full game where you don't get a kill since nobody goes past for you to snipe...and like people know where the camping spots are on matches so they could kill you from behind like I always do. Can anybody suggest a match type where hardly anybody camps? I have unlocked all match types...

Ok, first of all we have to get something straight. Camping is basically staying in one general area for long periods of time during a game. BUT does not include sniping. Sniping is not camping, it is just another type of sstrategyfor playing was games. in real life do you see snipers running up to people and trying to kill them with hhip fire no... I think your mad at snipers because all you mention is them. Helpful hint: use cold blooded and ninja pro then you wont be detected on radar. but yes i agree with people camping with automatics. theres no point. but you would have to look at it from a different point of view with snipers. would you run into the heat of a battle with a bolt action intervention?

I dont know why ppl do that either, but if you play on rust not many can caMP cause everyone will go after themm. Freeforall btw

Unfortunately, there's probably always going to be some campers, no matter what gametype you use. My recommendation would be domination and search and destroy, since both those maps require you to keep moving, for the most part. Playing on a smaller map like Highrise might help as well.

The only games I can think of where people camp LESS is objective games like capture the flag, however, people tend to camp near the enemies objective/ home objective for protection over it. Other than that, campers are just one of the types of gamers out there, deal with it by killing them or joining them.
