What does 'camping' in video games mean?
I was playing Uncharted 2 multiplayer and somehow I got 12 kills and nobody got me, and one guy on the mic was like " camping like a " . I thought camping was when you like hang off a ledge and wait for someone to pass, or just stay in one spot...what I was doing was I picked a route from one side of the map to the other and I kept going back and forth on it, is that camping too? Or was the guy just mad I killed him...?

Acoustic guitar for camping?
I'm going to Kentucky this summer. I also travel a lot around my home state, MI. I would like a good acoustic guitar to take with me on these trips, but I don't have much extra money to spend. FPS "camping question"?
Ok so I was playing a game with a couple of my friends. So we did a 2v2 on scrapyard. I just followed my teammate and we stuck to the left side of the map. When the game was over the other two people called me a camper because i stuck to the left side of the map. My teammate did that too and they didn't call him a camper. Some friends were playing and i couldn't figure out a pattern to the game...they never told me and now im pissed lol they said i would feel stupid after figuring it out. It starts off with each person taking turns saying what they are " bringing along" camping...sombody help i feel dumb
Anyone else camping out in front of Gamestop tonight for Final Fantasy XIII?
All of us on Gamespot forum are doing it. It will likely be sold out tomorrow, that's probably why they are doing the midnight openings. I want this game so bad by the release date and don't want to have to wait for them to get more copies. I am leaving in about 3 hours and I am getting prepared. I just hope there isn't a long line and that I can get a copy on time. This is my only chance. I just wish I had reserved. Are you going to be one of the people waiting in front of Gamestop tonight?Yeah, that really sucks for me. There are so many bonuses, I wish I had preordered.
MW2 camping...How do you see it?
If this is so annoying to people, why do they seem to do it? Ill admit that I did it earlier today on one map but thats the first time ive done it in a few years. I dont think its because they dont have skills, but I do think its because if they were to actually fight like real men they wouldnt have what it takes. What do you all think?

Personally, I don't, because it's kinda common sense to stay in a certain spot while sniping, because you can't just go in the middle of the map with a sniper. Not a good idea, IMO. Your thoughts and opinions?
Call of duty modern warfare 2: what do you think of ''camping" and "campers"?
first off i beleive if u dont like campers and camping and u dont like the online play for it then either learn to ive with campers or dont play it online...with that said thats why i dont play this game online much lol.. ok here my opinion on thease camping stragitys and campers....i used to love call of duty...my cousins used to like it. it was fun back in the day... no one was bitching realy..whether you were a run n guner which i am or more of a sniper both styles were playble and it was fun for all styles... now this cod, HOLY SHYT, ive never seen so much damn camping in any game some people call it " stragitical positioning" which i think is complete bull shyt. i mean my little pesty brother hides and gets kills like that and thinks hes a lil badass lol.. what does that tell u? it tells me the camping style is the way to go on this game.. and i couldent be more disapointed and deskusted. im not saying campers are cheap shyt... imean its easy kills why wouldent they do it? but shit everybody does that it seems... and the game rewards u for that.. unlike other cods u had to work for youre streaks... on unreal tourniment which i prefer it takes quik reflexes and i mean QUIK reflexes, if u try and sit and hide and pick people off ull be dead and very fast....id like to see my little bro play that game lol and all the campers....unreal tourniment is skillful and if u dont believe me play it with some skilled oponiants and tell me how good of a shooter u r... with that sayd i know im gonna offend and piss of a few people and have ppl say " well if u dont like dont fing play it" which i will take youre advice gladly lol... im not hating im aware its a military based videogame but is it me or does this game take hardly any skill and reward it? CODMW2 sux in my opnion. your thoughts?sorry for the type O's and when i say this game sucks im mainly refering to the online play...the campaign is great stuff and the special ops are fun as well

how many of u are in favor or against campingi wanna know whyi snipe, its what im great at in the game. decent with ump and scar but i would take intervention any day. using a slow gun, i stay away from the main battle and pick off ppl. these ppl get mad and whine. why do u haters hate on campers?? not looking for arguments just opinionsif u like camping say why too.
How do i become better at mw2? Do i have to camp?
Ughhh, so i play mw2 online, and i got OWNED LIke im not constintly good, im good sometimes and bad sometimes. It seems that everyones bullets are better than mine cuz i start shooting at a guy the same time he starts shooting me and i still die. When i go to shoot someone, someone else " magicaly" comes and kills me. The thing that REALLY annoys me is the kill streaks. Ya its really fun when you get a chopper gunner, but omg they are annoying. Their so hard to avoid. Also, it seems that everytime someone has a pred airstrike or missile, i am the only one getting killed by it. I play demolition, and my friend who seems to get kill streaks easily, tells me to use the Famas, the noobtube, and just noobtube ppl who r planting the bomb or defusing it, though isnt that noobie? I know ppl say that if people are camping, join them, but camping is boring. It seems the only way to be good at this game is to camp. Also, i dont have very good accuracy, how do i get better accuracy? My kill streaks are, predater missile 5 kills , emergency air drop all the things fall from the air and u get things inside , then i think i have chopper gunner or pavelow or something. It seems when i get a care package, if its at the beggining of the game its like a UAV, if its near the end i get sentry gun.
Camping Tips MW2!!!!?
I have just recently purchased MW2 with my hard earned cash. I am a really good gamer but recently i am being found when sitting in my spawn with a SCAR H heartbeat sensor. IUsing this i see myself as an MLG pro but others call me a noob? Is this true or are people just hating on me camping. I am so good one time i called in UAV recon once. using the hardline perk ofcourse
