Do Muslims wear wedding bands?
I work with several male muslims and have noticed that none of them wear wedding bands ring on their fingers. I know that several of them are married and have children and grand children.Is it customary for them to not wear a wedding band?
Does a wedding band have a pagan root? Why do JWs wear it? Are the wedding anniversries allowed to celebrate?
JWs are not allowed to celebrate birthdays etc. so the do not, but they are allowed to recognize their wedding anniversaries?

I have notice quite a bit in the professional world that guys that have openly admitted they are gay wear wedding bands. Not because they are married to another guy, but because they feel they will be better received by other professionals. Just curious as to your thoughts on this.
How to romantically give my husband a new wedding band on Christmas?
When my husband and I got married over two years ago, we couldn't afford very much as far as rings went. On our one year anniversary my husband bought me a nice ring to replace the band we used at our wedding. I feel it is now time to replace his, and I wanted to do something really nice. I found him the perfect ring and had something special engraved on the inside. I wanted it to be his Christmas present, but I want to be romantic about the way I give it to him. I don't want to just wrap it up and have him un wrap it, but I don't want to get down on my knee and act like im proposing to him. How could I go about giving him this ring in a romantic, not cheesy kind of way on Christmas or Christmas eve?
Men's rings - Do people assume that men who wear a ring (not a wedding band/engagement ring) are gay?
Like, my girlfriend bought me a ring not too long ago. It's a plain ring, with two stripes of brushed metal with one stripe of shiny metal along the middle of the ring. It's made from titanium also. Do you think people would assume that i'm gay just cause i wear a ring? Thanks for the help everyone. I have been reassured that people generally don't assume i'm gay cause of a bit or metal and to the person who said i'm weak, i don't think wearing a birthday present from my girlfriend is " weak" . What is the difference between a wedding band and engagement ring?
AND why would anybody want to spend 1000$ in these economic times for 2 different rings when they both symbolize the same basic idea, that your heart belongs to someone else.Doesn't a promise ring suffice as an engagement ring? I mean, they both mean the same thing, that you are promised, taken, etc. Some of the promise rings are expensive enough to be wedding rings.
Which hand should a man's wedding band be worn on?
Silly question but I am perplexed because I also thought that the left hand ring finger was the appropriate place for a wedding band. However, I was eyeing this guy at the gym. I did notice that he had a ring on, but it was on his right hand, so it never occurred to me that he could be married. Then a few weeks later I noticed it was on his left hand and yesterday it was back on his right hand.So the question is how many men wear their wedding rings on their right hand and do you sometimes switch it?

In America they have wedding bands, in India they have red dots that women wear on their forehead which means they are married. I am sure there are others. What if there are married women who walk around in public without them on? Is this a form of adultery?

Wedding Band or Engagement Ring First.. Post Wedding?
I am getting married on 05 24 08 and my Fiancee and I are in a dispute. I say that the Band is supposed to go over the Engagement Ring and pointed outward to signal our Future together, while she states that the Engagement Ring is supposed to go on top facing the tip of the finger in order to " Protect" the Band. The Band in her opinion is supposed to be the closest to the heart. I was always told that just as a graduation ring is supposed to be turned around post graduation to symbolize your step into adulthood, the wedding band is supposed be on the outside for the future of our marriage. Which one of us is right?
